Done with dreaming

 

The fear, 

won't be my prison any longer.

I was held there caged
for as long, as I can remember.
 
Never stepped out that door,
too afraid what would be behind.
Never dared, always save,
behind that window, in my cave.
 
But something in me,
is longing for new.
 
Not anymore, want I just too read,
poem after poem
and story after story,
if I can write, my own.
 
I'm done with dreaming,
with hoping and praying.
I'll take my fate, in those two hands
and form the future, regardless of fear.
